Autumn in Meade County means something. The days get shorter, the weather changes, and the harvest comes in. Since our community has is such a substantial resource, we celebrate that harvest with a dinner. Meade County Tourism, the Meade County Extension Services, and the Meade County Extension Homemakers would like to invite everyone to the 2021 Harvest Dinner on Sept. 23. This will be the third year for this magnificent event. This is Meade County’s original Farm to Table event. This year’s menu is upscale BBQ and features some of the most mouth-watering dishes to date. Imagine Hawkins Farm’s bacon-wrapped smoked chicken, Stith Family Farm’s Smoked Pulled Pork slathered in Stull’s Farms Sweet and Smokey BBQ sauce, seedless blackberry layer cake, and more. Tickets are $30 each, $200 for a table, and $260 for a gold-level table. Dinner, drinks, and entertainment are included. All proceeds from this event benefit the Meade County Backpack Program.
